Field Work

Artem Egorov is presently involved in geothermal studies in oil and gas deposits in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Yakutia, and Tyumen and Irkutsk Oblasts, as well as in coal deposits in Magadan Oblast. Previous experience includes geothermal investigations in Mirny Diamond District (Udachny, Aikhal, Mirny) and in iron ore deposits in southern Yakutia, organization of an embankment thermal monitoring network along the ice-rich permafrost portion of the Amur-Yakutsk Railroad, environmental impact assessment studies for the proposed Elga coal mine, and technical assistance in permafrost studies within the city of Yakutsk.
