Heilongjiang Researchers Visit MPI for Training Courses

From 2 to 16 October 2014, a group of Heilongjiang Institute of Cold Region Engineering (Harbin, China) researchers, is visiting the MPI to take training courses on Hazard Protection and Mitigation Measures for Buildings and Infrastructure. The courses are intended to share knowledge in geotechnical investigation, design, construction and maintenance of civil, industrial and linear structures on permafrost, as well as in effective thermal insulation of buildings in cold environments. The group led by Dr.Xia Yun, Director of the Building Material Testing Lab, includes Zhu Lei, Head of the Building Codes Unit, Li Dongwen, Head of the Geotechnical Investigations Unit, Chen Jianhua, Deputy Head of the Building Design Unit, and Li Huiyu, interpreter.
