MPI has a variety of vehicles to transport people and equipment, as well as to support field operations, such as trucks, off-road jeeps, snowmobiles, and tractors. Four GAZ-66 and ZIL-131 off-road trucks with heated rear units can each sleep up to 6 persons in the field.

 

    

    

 

 

 

MPI has a fleet of three Yaroslavetz type river boats to support field research activities. The river boats Merzlotoved and Geocryolog docked in Yakutsk provide transport and accommodation for field groups of up to 7 persons. The Vityaz is used as a research platform for geophysical surveys in Chernyshevsky.
